Velocity Trophy Third Round

Walton Casuals will travel to Dulwich Hamlet on Tuesday 19 December in the Velocity Trophy Third Round.

After 180 minutes of football, the Stags eventually emerged 3-0 victors in the Second Round against Horsham after goals from Sean McCormack, Daryl Coleman and Lartey Sarpong.

The reward was a trip to Champion Hill, where Bostik Premier title contenders Hamlet are unbeaten in their last six. Having last lost a home game to Hendon on 12 September, they have also lost just once in their last 16 games – an FA Trophy defeat at Harlow Town.

Gavin Rose’s men saw off Staines Town via a penalty shootout in the First Round – Ashley Carew’s second-half strike concluded a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes – and comfortably beat Greenwich Borough in a 4-1 Second Round victory last month. Muhammadu Faal (2), Nana Boakye-Yiadom and Gavin Tomlin all made the scoresheet for the hosts.

The cup tie will be one of four consecutive away fixtures in December, as the Stags travel to Chessington & Hook United, Guernsey, Dulwich Hamlet and Faversham Town within 11 days.
