First Goal26.08.17 v Faversham Town

A summer signing from Hampton & Richmond Borough, Joe Hicks captained the club for the first ever fixture at the Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub.

A central defender used to taking the armband for big occasions, he also led former club Corinthian-Casuals out in their 2015 high-profile tour of Brazil – where he played Serie A side Corinthians in front of over 30,000.

Hicks began his career under the management of Alan Dowson at Kingstonian and joined Tolworth based Corinthian-Casuals in 2010. In 2014, he took on the captaincy under former Casuals assistant mnager Matt Howard.

In May 2015, he was snapped up by Dowson once again in a move to National League South club Hampton & Richmond Borough. Hicks made 40 appearances in his inaugural season with the Beavers, and a further 34 during the 2016-17 campaign.

He also enjoyed a brief return to Corinthian-Casuals on a one-month loan in January 2016, and scored on his return in a cup defeat to Sutton United. Hicks later made a single appearance for Ryman Premier Division side Metropolitan Police in October 2016 on dual registration.
