Former Millwall shot-stopper Denzel Gerrar became the first goalkeeper to score in the club’s history in January 2017.

Roberts began his career in the Crystal Palace academy and appeared on Soccer AM’s Skill Skool in 2008. After a loan spell with Croydon Athletic in 2009, be made the switch permanent following his release. Spells at Tooting & Mitcham United, Carshalton Athletic and Merstham followed, before a return to Carshalton in 2014.

The wide midfielder had several spells between Salisbury and Tooting & Mitcham before joining National League South side Hampton & Richmond Borough for the 2017-18 season.

Roberts scored once in 25 appearances for the club before signing for Bostik Premier Division club Kingstonian on dual registration. After making a handful of appearances for the K’s he joined Combined Counties Premier Division side Walton & Hersham on a triple-registration.

In late March 2018, Roberts switched to the Stags with seven games remaining in the Bostik South Division play-off push.
