French winger Youssef Bamba is in his fourth spell with the club after re-joining on loan from Merstham in October 2017.
He also represented the Stags in 2012, 2014 and 2016, following a brief stint in France with OGC Nice B. The former Fulham youngster later joined Salisbury City, before loan spells at Laverstock & Ford and Gosport, and a permanent move to Thatcham.
In 2011, Bamba moved to France to live with his father where he appeared for the Ligue 1 club’s reserve side. Upon his return to England, he joined AFC Wimbledon and signed a professional deal in February 2013.
After his release, he went on to play for Farnborough, Carshalton Athletic and the Casuals. Kicking off the 2016-17 campaign with Combined Counties outfit Guildford City, Bamba was snapped up by Ryman Premier side Kingstonian and quickly given a contract for the remainder of the season. He went on to make 44 appearances for the K’s, scoring three goals.
Bamba joined Merstham ahead of the current campaign and made the switch to the Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub on loan two months later – where he has made the number 11 shirt his own.
